Graduating with an MD degree from Damascus University, Syria, in 1973, he further pursued his academic journey and obtained a Master of Medical Science decree from the Minister of Universities in France in 1979. He is a qualified neurosurgeon with a specialization in the field.
Throughout his career, Dr. Azzam has made significant contributions to the medical field. He became an associate member of the French Society of Neurosurgery in 1982. From 1980 to 1982, he served as a specialist neurosurgeon at Rashid Hospital in Dubai, followed by his appointment as a consultant neurosurgeon and Head of the Neuroscience Department at Rashid Hospital from 1982 to 1985.
In 1985, Dr. Azzam became a partner and director of the CMDC (Computerized Medical Diagnostic Centre) in Jumeirah, Dubai. He has also established a successful private clinic for outpatient care, with surgical practice in various hospitals as needed, since 1986.
Dr. Azzam has an extensive research background with over 25 published research papers. He actively participates in medical meetings and webinars, continuously expanding his knowledge and staying updated with the latest advancements in the field.
